Archdeacon of Central New York Appointed

Bishop Julian Dobbs is thrilled to announce the appointment of the Venerable Joel Grigg as the new archdeacon of Central New York.  He is thankful to Joel for his willingness to serve in this additional capacity.  Joel and his wife Carolyn live in Massena, NY where Joel is in the planning stages of a new Anglican church plant.  He is currently serving as priest-in-charge of St. Andrew's Endicott, NY.

 

Joel was ordained in 2000.  He has a Bachelor of Science, Masters of Public Administration, Advanced Diploma in Christian Life Coaching, Master and Doctor of Ministry. His thesis project was written on biblical literacy and its influence on congregational leadership.

 

Joel served in the United States Air Force, Mississippi Air National Guard, United States Air Force - Civil Service and as Rector of Saint Matthew's Church, Unadilla, NY; Saint John's Church, Massena, NY; Priest Associate, Saint John's Church, Ogdensburg and Board Operator/Production, WYBG Radio, Massena, NY.

 

Joel is committed to raising up a generation of servant leaders, fully equipped to successfully engage the challenges of the 21st century.


Joel will be collated as archdeacon at the upcoming Missions Conference and Synod.

  • St Andrew's Church in Endicott, NY
  • Church of the Holy Trinity in Syracuse, NY
  • Three developing church plants
