The Rev. Dr. Jim Salladin announced as the canon of Church planting and Gospel Renewal

The Rt. Rev. Julian M. Dobbs is privileged to announce the appointment of the Rev. Dr. Jim Salladin to the office of Diocesan Canon of Church Planting and Gospel Renewal.


Dr. Salladin continues serve as rector of Emmanuel Anglican Church since the fall of 2016.Originally from California, he worked at St. John's Vancouver Anglican Church and St. James Muswell Hill in London. Jim recently completed his PhD through the University of St. Andrews with the focus of his research on grace and participation in Jonathan Edwards' thought. He and his wife Amber have two sons, Caleb and Peter.


As Canon, Jim will oversee and support the existing Church Planting Network of the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word. He will focus on the support of planting clergy and their families and the development of new church plants. 


Canon Salladin's Objectives:


•Foster a culture of Gospel renewal within the Anglican Diocese of the Living Word

•Encourage this Gospel renewal toward missionary outreach and church planting

•Teach and train church planters in how Gospel renewal drives contextualization and missionary outreach

•Encourage church planters toward personal and corporate renewal

•Assist in identifying and developing future church planters

•Assist in fostering partnerships with other church planting movements in the ACNA or beyond


Over the better part of the last five years, Jim and Amber have been a gift to this diocese. We look forward to watching how God works through them in this new role.

The Rev. Canon Dr. Salladin will be collated at our annual Missions Conference and Synod running April 30-May 2 in Souderton, PA.
